Nippy Smart Algorithms
All elements of Nippy Marketer are engineered to ensure high quality of marketing execution while simplifying your Nippy experience and marketing management process.
To that purpose we have developed a set of algorithms that integrate and automatically assign status, risк, and priorities for campaigns, projects, and tasks.
The status of marketing activities is communicated in five colors: red, orange, yellow, green, and off-white. These activity statuses are important part of the priority order in the My Marketing Day dashboard.
As the role of the campaigns, projects, and tasks in marketing execution differs, there are separate algorithms for every type of marketing activity.
When an activity's status changes, the owner of this activity will receive email notification and the change will be reflected in the corresponding color of the activity, including in My Marketing Day dashboard.
Nippy Marketer smart algorithms according to marketing activities
Tasks status algorithms
You will see your tasks in the My marketing day dashboard ordered from RED to WHITE by order of priority according to left days to completion. Tasks' status can be manually changed. Tasks with dependent tasks under them and with higher lead time are prioritized. When status is the same, tasks will be ordered according to the most recent due date and time.

Task to be completed within the next 24 hours OR deadline missed.
Orange
The task to be completed in the next 48 hours.
Yellow
The task must be completed until the end of the current working week.
Green
The task must be completed until the end of the next working week.
White
The task must be completed byond the end of the next working week.
Projects status algorithms
Your project status depends on the stage of the project. There are two stages - before start of the project and between start and project completion.
Pending project start status algorithm
A project's status can be manually changed. Unless manually changed to RED, stays in chosen status until conditions as defined changed.

Red
High priority. Within 48 hours of the project start or project not started on the planned date.
Orange
Medium priority. Project to start by the end of next working week.
Yellow
One week or less to the project's start.
Green
Between one and two weeks to the project's start.
White
Work on the project to start in more than two weeks.
Ongoing project status algorithms
Ongoing is a project the work on which has already started. Nippy automatically determines this when a task under this project has been worked on.
A project's status can be manually changed. Unless manually changed to RED, stays in chosen status until conditions as defined changed.

Red
High priority. One week before project's end date.
Orange
Between three and two weeks before project deadline OR tasks not completed within deadline between three and four weeks before project deadline.
Yellow
Between three and four weeks before project deadline OR tasks not completed within their deadline more than four weeks before the project's deadline.
Green
Work has started (there was a task in progress). Tasks under this project are completed within deadlines.
Campaigns status algorithms
Your project status depends on the stage of the campaign. There are two stages - before start of the campaign and after start and campaign's launch.
Before the campaign start date
Algorithms can be manually overridden by project/campaign managers. If campaign is manually prioritized RED, all relevant projects become high priority RED also.

Red
High priority. Less than one week before the start of work on the campaign.
Orange
Medium priority. Between one and two weeks before the start of work on the campaign.
Yellow
Between two and three weeks before the start of work on the campaign.
Green
Three to four weeks to the start date of the campaign.
After the campaign's start date and before the launch date
Ongoing campaign
Definition
Red
High priority or campaign in risk. Uncompleted project 10 days before campaign launch OR one week left to the campaign launch.
Orange
There is a project with a missed deadline OR project with planned date within the last week of campaign launch OR two weeks left to the campaign launch.
Yellow
There is a project with a missed deadline at least three weeks before the campaign launch date OR less than three weeks left to the campaign launch.
Green
All projects have started on time OR completed more than a day before deadlines OR all projects are planned to be completed at least one week before launch.
How to manually change marketing activities' status
While the built-in Nippy algorithms automatically manage your marketing activities' status, you can also manually change them if you want to change priorities or indicate increased execution risk.
To change a task, project, or campaign's status, open the activity's form and locate the choice of status under the name. Choose the appropriate status and click UPDATE.
When you manually change status, the color will stay like the chosen one until the next algorithm cycle, when Nippy will automatically change the status.
But if you have set the status to RED, the activity will always stay RED, unless manually changed.
